Pembina State Museum is hosting free, family-friendly programs on Saturdays to share the games and skills that shaped the history of the region. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Sept. 12, Games of Pembina’s Past: Cards, 1-4 p.m. Play historical card games with replica card decks from the 18th and 19th centuries such as primero, twenty-one, and whist.

Sept. 19, Citizenship on the Border, 2-3 p.m. Discover how life on the Canadian border impacted peoples' citizenship and the differences between American and Canadian citizenship.
Sept. 26, Arrows & Atlatls, 1-4 p.m. Learn about the tools prehistoric hunters used to survive and thrive on the prairies. Test your skills with targets, bows, arrows, and spear-throwers on the back lawn.

The Pembina State Museum, located at 805 Highway 59, Pembina, is managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Established in 1975 by Dr. Edward Christianson to provide local musicians an opportunity to play great big-band musical literature, improve their improvisational jazz skills, and socialize with other music lovers.

Today, as a 501(c)3, our passion for music extends into education as we work with local schools to promote and preserve America's original musical art form.

The Study's Fall Virtual Humanities Programs

Choose from multi-week classes, lectures, book talks, living history performances, and Study Clubs exploring history, literature, democracy, philosophy, writing, science, and the arts. Attend from anywhere in North Dakota via Zoom.

Everyone is invited to attend St. Mary’s Social & Raffle on Sunday, September 13, starting at 5 p.m., at the Knights of Columbus Hall, located on Main Street, in Hague, ND. The Hague-Zeeland KCs will be serving burgers and hotdogs, salads, desserts, and cold refreshments. Free will offering to benefit St. Mary’s Church. BINGO starts at 7 p.m. The raffle drawing will follow BINGO. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase.
